Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oksana Syroyid has addressed the heads of all parliamentary factions requesting to immediately settle the situation in the city of Kryvyi Rih.
Oksana Syroyid noted that the Interim ad hoc commission of the Verkhovna Rada had passed an intermediate decision that attested violations during the second round of the Kryvyi Rih city mayoral election of November 15, 2015, which allows the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to call repeat mayoral election in the city. She also said that "in view of provocative behavior of the illegitimate mayor, a threat of a conflict loomed in Kryvyi Rih."
Oksana Syroyid expressed confidence that the situation in Kryvyi Rih was fully of the Verkhovna Rada's responsibility. She called on the heads of all parliamentary factions to take respective decision this week.
